NOTIFICATION REGARDING THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION FOR THE AUTHORS OF THE STUDIES PUBLISHED IN
GLOBECO – GLOBAL ECONOMIC OBSERVER
Dear Colleague,
We are writing to you the present e-mail regarding the implementation from 25 May 2018 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April
2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data
Protection Regulation – hereinafter “GDPR”).
Having in view the fact that over the past years you have publishes studies within GLOBECO – GLOBAL ECONOMIC OBSERVER (hereinafter “GLOBECO”), we
consider that you have to bear in mind the following:
- The University holds some of your personal data as a result of the transfer of copyrights to the studies you have published: name, surname, academic
degree, institutional affiliation, e-mail address, telephone number, correspondence address.
- The processing of the respective personal data involves communication with the authors in order to publish the studies, publication of the accepted
studies in GLOBECO and indexation of the journal in international databases.
- The legal ground for processing is: art. 9 para. (2) letter j) of the GDPR – “processing is necessary for (…) scientific (…) research purposes (… ) based
on Union or Member State law”.
- The personal data processing time limit: the studies have been published and indexed in international databases, being available online (name,
surname, academic degree, institutional affiliation, e-mail address). The other personal data necessary for the contact with the author (telephone number, correspondence address)
are stored in our electronic archive.

www.dataprotection.ro.
We also inform you that the University does not promote SPAM and any user who has explicitly provided its email address on one of the University’s websites (www.univnt.ro,
cks.univnt.ro, constant.univnt.ro) may choose to delete it from the site database, the newsletter issuing platform and, implicitly, our institution.
